Who are we?
The TechSMB team is comprised of senior technologies with strong technical backgrounds in the B2B broadband, webhosting, VoIP and managed services space.
Technical by nature, but creative at heart, our team "gets" technology and works with closely with our clients to deliver measurable results.
Leading the team is Ben Lucier, an industry veteran with more than eighteen years of strategic and tactical, in-the-trenches senior management experience in the managed services networking space.
Ben co-founded an Internet Service Provider in Windsor, Ontario, and helped expand the organization throughout southwestern Ontario, including Chatham, London, Sarnia and the Greater Toronto area.
In 1999, Ben moved to Toronto, where he launched broadband DSL services at a mid-sized CLEC before heading up technical services at a private label webhosting company owned by North America's largest telecom company.
In 2006, Ben was the co-founder of a successful Hosted PBX (business VoIP) service provider and was responsible for strategy and day to day operations and customer service.
In recent years, Ben has become a sought after expert in the areas of customer service, IT project management and VoIP related technologies.
As a principal consultant with TechSMB Services, Ben works closely with clients to execute IT technology projects and strategies that result in streamlined operations, increased customer service and lower operational costs. As a consultant, Ben has worked with clients of all sizes, in a variety of industries including financial lenders, managed colocation service providers, law firms, Internet service providers, and logistics and distribution.
In addition to his professional career, Ben is also active in the community and has served on the board of directors for two non-profit organizations: The Little Geeks Foundation and the Toronto Internet Exchange (TorIX).
